Wagners wins first Middle East boardwalk project - May 03 2019

Wagners will soon have a Composite Fibre Technology (CFT) product on four continents across the globe. Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is the next international project for Wagners and the first Wagners CFT product in the Middle East.

The boardwalk project, valued at over $1 million AUD is to design and supply a boardwalk for the AL Jubail Island Development which will see 6,000 villas constructed on the island.

Mr Michael Kemp, Executive General Manager for Wagners CFT said this was an opportunity borne from pure hard work and it’s paid off.

“We are thrilled to work on a project such as this and the fact that a Wagners boardwalk is going to be in a complex this size is fantastic,” Mr Kemp said.

Wagners will commission the fourth pultrusion machine at the CFT manufacturing facility in Toowoomba next week which will see the ability for increased output of product to international markets.

“Our production has doubled in the last two years having gone from two to four machines during that time. This fourth machine is pivotal to the growth of our business and will predominantly be used for our custom build projects for international customers,” Mr Kemp said.

Wagners produced 300km of pultrusion in the last financial year and over 2 million meters since operations began in 2002.
