Wagners CFT won the 2011 Premier's ClimateSmart Sustainability Award for the development of a new low emission concrete, Earth Friendly Concrete (EFC), which is created from industrial waste by-products. The alternative geopolymer binder technology in EFC produces a staggering 80-90 per cent less CO₂ emissions than Portland cement and has the same, if not better, engineering and construction properties as normal concrete.
