Moura Coal Haulage


This project was carried out for Anglo Coal – Moura Mine by the principal contractor Wagners Transport P/L. The project responsibilities involved:

 

  • The loading and haulage of raw coal from various stockpile areas to designated dump stations,
  • Watering of the haul road,
  • Management of the stockpile,
  • Assisting with the design of the dump station prior to construction.

 

Wagners Transport were contracted to transport coal involving varying tonnages on a 24 hour/7 days per week basis. The duration of the project saw over 5.4 million tonnes of coal hauled to the rail head, with, at the peak, over 130,000 tonnes of coal hauled per week. This required to coordination of up to 19 triple road trains, involving Wagners Transport fleet and that of sub-contractors. Wagners were also able to provide Anglo Coal with solutions for coal processing i.e. the crushing and screening of coal, during the term of Wagners Project involvement.
