Darwin LNG

Wagners was contracted by Bechtel Australia to supply concrete for the construction of LNG tanks at Darwin. The total Project involved the supply of 80,000m³ of concrete.

The Darwin LNG Plant receives a supply of gas from the Bayu-Undan Gas fields, in the East Timor Sea to a process facility located in Darwin. At the Darwin process facility, the gas is processed from a vapour to a liquid state. The liquid is then stored in a LNG storage tank prior to being shipped to its destination points.

The LNG storage tank constructed at this project is the world’s largest above ground storage tank at an LNG facility.
