  • Cameron was appointed Managing Director in July 2022 having been CEO since 2012.
  • Cameron has over 30 years experience with Wagners having held various operational and leadership roles across a variety of different areas of the business.
  • Cameron has been integral in Wagners’ journey and has created a culture that has enabled Wagners to differentiate itself from its competitors, overseeing more than 700 employees across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, USA and the UK.
  • Cameron has completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Fergus Hume

Fergus Hume

Chief Financial Officer
  • Fergus joined Wagners in February 2016 as Chief Financial Officer.
  • He brings over 30 years experience in chartered accounting and corporate financial roles, previously holding Financial Controller positions at Caltex Australia Ltd and Namoi Cotton Co-operative Ltd.
  • Fergus is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.
Karen Brown

General Counsel & Company Secretary
  • Karen was appointed General Counsel and Company Secretary in November 2017 , being responsible for Wagners legal, risk and governance functions.
  • She has over 25 years’ legal experience across a broad range of industries and was a partner of a mid-tier law firm prior to joining Wagners.
  • Karen is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.
  • Karen also holds a Graduate Diploma for Applied Corporate Governance and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School in 2025.
John Stark

John Stark

Executive General Manager – Transport, Quarries & Engineering Solutions
  • John brings over 30 years of continuous service with Wagners.
  • John has twenty-five years experience in Senior Management and Leadership roles across Wagners Construction Materials and Services businesses including as CEO of a Joint Venture.
  • John is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Company Directors Course.
Matthew Grulke

Matthew Grulke

Executive General Manager – Concrete, Precast, Steel & Technical
  • Matthew has over 20 years experience with Wagners.
  • Matthew is the Executive General Manager of Concrete, Precast, Steel and Technical.
  • Matthew is experienced in establishing high volume Construction Materials supply Chains in Remote and Complex environments in Australia and Overseas, having managed complex projects in country in Papua New Guinea and Sakhalin Island, Russia.
  • Matthew is responsible for leading the strategic expansion of Wagners ready-mix concrete network, identifying, and managing turnkey development of new sites.
  • Matthew brings a wide industry skillset having worked through all levels of the business and has a strong commercial, service and relationship focus.

Executive General Manager - Cement
  • Steven joined Wagners in May 2017.
  • Steven is the Executive General Manager of Wagners Cement business, overseeing bulk cement production, sales and distribution and raw Material sourcing and Importing.
  • Steven has over 25 years experience in Senior Management, including as a Company Director across a variety of industries.
John Dignam

John Dignam

Executive Director – CFT
  • John is the Executive Director – CFT, having joined Wagners in 2024.
  • John has over 20 years’ experience running businesses in the infrastructure and building products industry in Australia, USA, NZ and Malaysia.
  • John holds an MBA (Executive), Bachelor of Economics and is an Associate Chartered Accountant.
Damon McCarthy

Damon McCarthy

Head of Safety, Environment & Quality
  • Damon joined Wagners in August 2023.
  • Damon has over 20 years’ experience overseeing safety in Heavy Industry, including Construction, Mining, Transport, and Petroleum and Gas.
  • Damon is responsible for leading the Safety, Environment & Quality Team, working with all areas of the business to meet compliance with Wagners Integrated Management System, carry out internal inspections/audits, assist with investigation of incidents, and offer advice on how operations can carry out activities whilst minimising the risk to workers, the community and the environment.
  • Damon holds Bachelor of Occupational Health & Safety (CQU).
Victoria Scriven

Victoria Scriven

Head of People & Culture
  • Vicki joined Wagners in 2023 and has over 20 years of human resources experience. She has held senior positions in both ASX listed and privately owned businesses.
  • Vicki oversees the People & Culture function providing strategic direction and support across the core areas of the employee lifecycle. She leads a team of professionals focused on delivering strategies to enhance engagement, talent, learning and development, payroll, and employee relations across the business.
  • Vicki holds a Bachelor of Health Science (OH&S) and post graduate qualifications in Industrial Relations and Risk Management together with an MBA from Queensland University of Technology.
