When Henry Wagner and four of his sons – John, Denis, Neill and Joe founded Wagners in Toowoomba in 1989 with one concrete plant and a handful of trucks, they started with a simple idea. From the beginning, running a business with integrity, care for its people and a commitment to quality has always been front of mind.
35 years later, those principles still guide our work today.
From that single site, Wagners grew into one of Queensland’s most significant construction materials and services businesses, diversifying into quarries, cement, steel reinforcing, concrete, transport & logistics and engineering solutions to build an integrated supply chain. Wagners is constantly striving for innovative, effective and economic solutions, which has resulted in the development of our Composite Fibre Technologies and Earth Friendly Concrete.
In 2017, the business was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. While we evolved from a privately held family operation to a public company, our commitment to safety, innovation and quality never wavered.
Today, Wagners is led by Managing Director Cameron Coleman, who joined as an apprentice diesel fitter more than 30 years ago and now leads an international workforce of more than 700 people across five countries.
